All support groups include time for sharing by participants and an educational piece related to the groups’ focus. Sharing provides the Caregiver an opportunity to let go of some of their frustrations and to feel good when something positive has happened. The educational piece comes from Joyce Peterson, our CREST staff person assigned to the groups. She researches articles and websites finding tips for Caregivers or exercises or general information related to the disease or tips for Caregiver wellbeing. Joyce also provides one-on-one consultations for caregivers. See calendar for caregiver support groups.
